Repeated cancellation will lead to the suspension of your training course and removal of the account.
Before booking practical Driving Tests, an ADI reference number will be supplied to confirm the
readiness of the student driver's ability for test and for use of the Driving School vehicles.
A minimum of one 2-hour lesson per week is required for eligibility of driving test bookings. If you
are deemed unprepared for the driving test, you will be required to take additional lessons before
taking the test in order to use the Driving School vehicle for the test. It is the student's
responsibility to ensure that they book and complete the necessary lessons in advance.

                Full Terms & Conditions
                Introduction
The following terms and conditions represent the basis upon which The Driving Instructor and The
Driving School (Paul Gherghel and their driving school) offer driving lessons and courses to you
                    (the student).
Please note, The Driving School is independently owned and operated; thus, the contract for
service is between you and The Driving Instructor.

                    - General Conduct
The Driving Instructor will be courteous, polite, tidy, and punctual, and will behave in a
professional and ethical manner at all times. The training car will be well maintained, clean,
and tidy (weather permitting), fitted with dual-controls, and fully insured for tuition. The
instructor will not smoke in the car or use your lesson time for other business without your
                        permission.

                    - Qualifications
The Driving Instructor is legally authorised to give driving tuition in the UK by the Driver
                        and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

                    - Driving Licence and Eyesight
You must hold a current, valid driving licence (provisional or full), which must be produced
on or before your first lesson. You must provide a licence check code prior to your first
lesson. You must also be able to read a number plate at 20.5 metres (with glasses/contact
lenses if needed) and wear them for every lesson if required.

                    - Safety, Comfort, and Wellbeing
Please wear suitable footwear and clothing. Act responsibly and give your full attention to
driving. If anything distracts you or makes you uncomfortable, inform the instructor.
In emergencies, follow the instructor’s instructions and allow them to take control if needed.
The Driving Instructor may also need to make use of the dual controls (i.e. brake and or clutch
pedals) and thus override your use of them. As soon as it is safe to do so he will advise you
of why actions were necessary and help you to calm down if required. Any subsequent discussion
will focus on what can be learnt rather than who was to blame.
It is important you act responsibly at all times and give your undivided attention to the
driving task at hand. Should anything be distracting you during your lesson it is important that
you make me aware of this fact even if it is something The Driving Instructor is doing.
Similarly if you are feeling uncomfortable or uneasy about any driving task please let The
Driving Instructor know. The Driving Instructor will be grateful for your feedback and The
Driving Instructor will think no less of you for doing this.
The instructor will always act calmly and professionally.
Inform the instructor of any medication or condition that may affect your driving. The
instructor may terminate a lesson if you are unfit to drive due to illness, injury, or
medication. If you are unable to continue, the instructor will arrange for you to be taken
                        home safely.

                    - Driving Under the Influence
Lessons may be cancelled if you are suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The full lesson fee will be charged in such cases.

                    - Lesson Postponement
You may lose or be required to pay for lessons cancelled without 48 hours notice. The
instructor may postpone lessons due to unsafe conditions. No charge applies if you cancel
with at least 48 hours notice.

                    - Punctuality
Be punctual for lessons. The instructor will wait up to 15 minutes before the lesson is
considered forfeited. If the instructor is late, the time will be made up. Record all
                        appointments in your TotalDrive App.

                    - Payments
Lesson fees are charged per hour or as part of a package. Payment is required in advance by
cash, card, or bank transfer. Receipts will be provided. Fees may change without notice, but not
                        for already paid lessons.

                    - The Driving Test
Tests can be booked by you or the instructor. Test bookings take priority over lessons.
Notify the instructor before booking a test to ensure car availability. A 2-hour rate is
required at least 48 hours before your test. The instructor may withhold the car if your
driving is unsafe. DVSA requires three working days notice for test cancellations.
Check with the Driving Instructor before booking a test to ensure the car is available at the
                        required date and time.
The Driving Instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the Driving School vehicle
for the driving test if they believe your driving is unsafe or not up to the required standard.
If you are not ready for the driving test, you will be required to take additional lessons
before taking the test in order to use the Driving School vehicle for the test.
Test cancellations must be made at least TEN working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
before the test date. If you cancel with less notice, you will be charged for the
2-hour lesson booked for the test. If you fail to attend the test, you will also be charged for
the 2-hour lesson booked for the test.

                    - Complaints
Please give the instructor the opportunity to resolve any complaints first. Do not let
issues linger, feedback is important for improvement and helps us maintain high standards.
If you have a complaint, please contact the instructor directly.

                    - Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. The instructor is obliged to provide
services fit for purpose. For more information, contact Trading Standards or Citizens
                        Advice.
